Sawyer County is accepting applications for a full-time Ambulance & Emergency Management Director. The Director is required to be a licensed Paramedic and is responsible for the development, supervision, operation and administration of the county wide ambulance service as well as developing Emergency Management Plans for Sawyer County according to WI State Statute 166.03(5).
The Director has primary responsibility for scheduling ambulance personnel to provide optimum coverage of provision of services, assure quality of patient care and transportation, maintain provider status of State Licenses Ambulance Service and Medicare and Medical Assistance Programs, and develop emergency management plans for Sawyer County.
Starting salary based on qualifications and experience with a competitive benefit package including health insurance, Wisconsin Retirement System, life insurance, sick leave, vacation and holiday pay. Bachelor”s degree in Emergency Management or related field preferred with a minimum of four years of experience in emergency medical care and/or combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. A minimum of four (4) years supervisory experience strongly preferred.
